My Journey

Welcome to Black Label Apparel. I love to design and I love Lakewood, Ohio.

Six years ago, I started with a simple idea: Come up with really cool apparel designs for Lakewood. Designs that people would be proud to wear around town. “Hyper-Local” Wear.

With a small investment in inventory and 4 designs at a local Christmas show, I was onto something. The response from the community was overwhelming.

“We need more of this.”

So I kept going. I kept designing. I kept meeting more Lakewoodites. I kept learning new things like how to screen print myself.

And now I am sharing this hyper-local idea with other communities. Akron was a must; I grew up there and love it as much as Lakewood. Cleveland, Parma and Shaker Heights also hold a special place in my heart. And there will be many more neighborhoods added along the way, no doubt.
